Assignment #4

Week of September 5th

"Making the Most of Your Internship"

The article " Making the Most of Your Internship" is one hundred percent accurate because many students that are in an internship does not take the opportunity seriously. The article summarizes about how students make the mistake of assuming that just because they have an internship, it  does not necessarily mean that it is a real life job. This is not true! An internship is where a student can get real life experience for their dream career. So any doors will be opened because you will be able to learn new skills and work with professionals in your career.

Along with being in an internship, there are do's and don'ts in the job. Just because you might not take the internship seriously does not mean that you get to slack off. You still need to be respectful to your mentor. You need to make sure that you report the time you will present and absent at work, so that your mentor will know when to expect you. You might not see it but your presence can really make a difference somewhere. So be active, determined, respectful, and kind.

Working at the Place of Forsyth is a blessing because the women are them most outstanding people I have ever met in my life. They have taught me so much. The job they each have is not like a job to them. It is like going to work , and being at their second home. They love what they do and that is what I admire so much about them. Each and every single one of those women and men working there has a story or background that caused them to want to help someone else.

When I get to the point where I have achieved my goals, I want to love my job and all the struggles and work it comes with. I want to see more than getting those hours done. I want to be an example for someone else.
